Lottie Shaw's - Website Redesign

EDBWN worked with Lottie Shaw to implement a new design for their ecommerce website.

Client: Lottie Shaw
Sector: Craft Bakery
Scope: Modernisation and Redesign

Overview

EDBWN worked with Lottie Shaw to implement a new design for their ecommerce website.

Lottie Shaw already had the design prepared and needed a technical partner who could turn that design into a working, polished ecommerce experience.

The Problem

Lottie Shaw’s existing website was outdated and felt clunky for customers to use.

They wanted to modernise the online experience, improve the look and feel of the ecommerce website, and get better visibility over how customers were using it. The existing site also lacked strong user tracking and reporting, which made it harder to understand customer behaviour and make informed improvements.

The Challenge

There were two main challenges.

The first was making sure the implementation reflected the new design accurately. Lottie Shaw already had a clear design direction, so the development work needed to bring that vision to life carefully, without losing the detail, polish, or intent of the original design.

The second challenge was making sure the new design worked properly within the existing ecommerce platform. The website needed to move from the old design to the new one smoothly, without downtime or disruption to customers placing orders.

What We Did

EDBWN updated the ecommerce website pages to reflect the new design across the site.

We implemented the new layout and visual direction within the existing platform, making sure the finished website matched the design closely while continuing to support the existing ecommerce journey.

We also added user tracking so Lottie Shaw could better understand how customers were using the website. This gave them more visibility over customer behaviour and created a stronger foundation for future improvements.

Technologies and Capabilities

  • BigCommerce
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • SASS
  • JavaScript
  • React
  • Ecommerce development
  • User tracking
  • Responsive implementation
  • Front-end development

Outcome

The updated website gave Lottie Shaw a smoother customer experience and a more modern ecommerce presence.

The addition of user tracking also meant that future decisions could be made using real data rather than guesswork. This gave Lottie Shaw better visibility over how customers interact with the website and helped create a stronger foundation for ongoing improvement.

How We Worked

We worked with Lottie Shaw using SCRUM within an Agile framework.

This gave the project a clear structure and helped keep everyone aligned throughout the work. By working closely with the customer, we were able to implement the supplied design carefully, test the new experience properly, and make sure the updated website was delivered smoothly.
